Safety, Hygiene & Compliance at the World Sea Fish Exhibition 2026

The World Sea Fish Exhibition operates under strict UK and EU health & safety regulations to ensure a safe, professional, and hygienic environment for all exhibitors and visitors.

Safety Insurance

General Safety Rules

  • All exhibitors and contractors must wear badges at all times.
  • Hi-vis jackets and safety shoes are required during build-up/breakdown.
  • Emergency exits must be kept clear at all times.
  • Fire extinguishers are located throughout the venue.

Food Sampling Regulations

  • Only registered exhibitors may offer seafood sampling
  • Food must be prepared in compliance with HACCP standards.
  • Allergens (fish, shellfish, nuts, etc.) must be clearly labelled.
  • All cooking with heat sources (stoves, fryers, grills) requires prior approval.
  • Refrigeration or cold storage must be used for perishable products.

Insurance Requirements

  • All exhibitors must carry a minimum of £2 million public liability insurance.
  • Insurance certificates must be submitted before 15 January 2026.

Waste & Recycling

  • Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their area clean.
  • Waste disposal points are provided in every hall.
  • All seafood waste must be disposed of using designated bins.

First Aid & Emergencies

  • On-site first aid centre available during all event days.
