About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Event Director to lead, plan, and execute high-profile events that showcase Sea Fish Mongers Ltd’s brand, products, and industry expertise. This key leadership role will oversee all aspects of event strategy, management, and operations — from concept development to delivery — ensuring that every event enhances our reputation and drives business growth.

The Event Director will work closely with internal teams and external partners, managing budgets, logistics, and creative execution, while ensuring exceptional attendee experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual event strategy aligned with company goals.
• Plan, organise, and execute corporate events, trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional activities.
• Manage event budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Oversee event logistics including venues, catering, transport, staffing, and technology.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure brand consistency.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the events team and external contractors.
• Evaluate event success through KPIs, feedback, and ROI analysis.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations at all events.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Event Director, Event Manager, or similar senior events role.
• Strong project management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Excellent organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor partnerships.
• Familiarity with corporate branding, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of UK health, safety, and event compliance regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
• Proficient with event management software, CRM tools, and digital collaboration platforms.
