About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Coordinator to support our trading, supply chain, and procurement operations. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth procurement processes, ensuring supplier compliance, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver top-quality seafood products to our clients.

As Procurement Coordinator, you will assist in supplier management, inventory control, import/export documentation, and logistical coordination, working closely with the Head of Trading, Supply Chain & Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms where applicable.
• Coordinate procurement activities, including order placement, delivery scheduling, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DEFRA, FSA, and UK customs regulations for seafood import/export.
• Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and coordinate warehouse operations.
• Support logistics and supply chain planning for domestic and international deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for procurement and trading activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely fulfilment and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or trading, preferably in the food or seafood industry.
• Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of import/export processes and UK food compliance standards.
• Proficiency with digital systems (ERP, CRM, or supply chain management tools).
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
