About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse & Distribution Manager to oversee our warehousing operations, inventory management, and distribution network. This key role ensures that seafood products are stored, handled, and delivered efficiently while maintaining quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

You will lead a team responsible for warehouse operations and logistics, working closely with procurement and trading teams to meet operational goals and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and regular stock audits.
• Plan and coordinate domestic and international distribution schedules.
• Maintain compliance with DEFRA, FSA, and UK food safety regulations.
• Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.
• Implement technology-driven solutions to optimise warehouse and logistics performance.
• Collaborate with procurement and trading teams to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across all warehouse and distribution processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or distribution (preferably in the food or seafood sector).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, import/export procedures, and UK compliance regulations.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in digital systems (ERP, WMS, or supply chain management tools).
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
